 PPIAF funding is an important resource for training and capacity building. Grants have helped fund 270 training courses for more than 20,000 participants from the government, the private sector, and civil society. Grants also support on-the-job and peer learning programs for infrastructure regulators from developing countries. And with PPIAF’s support, governments provide workshops, field trips, exchange programs, large and small conferences, education and training programs, and online training and distance learning programs for stakeholders of all types. Capacity-building activities account for 12 percent of PPIAF’s portfolio on average.  |
