PPIAF

PPIAF's mission is to help eliminate poverty and achieve sustainable development through public-private partnerships in infrastructure.

PPIAF helps developing countries improve their infrastructure through two main mechanisms:

• It offers governments technical assistance on strategies and measures they can use to tap the full potential of partnerships between the public and private sector
• It identifies, disseminates, and shares best practices around public-private partnerships in infrastructure in developing countries.

Through grants, PPIAF finances a range of country-specific and multicountry advisory and related activities to help governments:

• Frame infrastructure development strategies to assess the needs of the country and the potential for private involvement
• Create outreach and communication programs to engage stakeholders and ensure transparency and accountability
• Design and implement policy, regulatory, and institutional reforms.
• Design and implement pioneering projects and transactions
• Build creditworthiness to access financing without sovereign guarantees.
