Staff Profiles

Bhavna Bhatia, Regional Program Leader for South Asia and Central Asia and Europe
Bhavna joined PPIAF in November 2004. Before joining PPIAF, she served as a senior energy economist in the World Bank’s South Asia Infrastructure and Energy Unit in New Delhi. Before that she was a team leader for the Energy Policy Group at the Tata Energy and Resources Institute in India, then a deputy manager at the Industrial Credit & Investment Corporation of India. She holds a master’s in business economics from the University of Delhi.

Anupam Sharma, Infrastructure Specialist
Anupam, an Indian national, has eight years of experience in the infrastructure sector. He joined PPIAF from the Water and Sanitation Program (WSP), where he worked as a financial specialist on public-private partnerships, utility benchmarking, and institutional reform in the water and sanitation sector in South Asia. Prior to joining WSP, he was with CRISIL, India’s leading credit rating agency, in its infrastructure advisory practice, where he worked on a wide range of assignments involving financial analysis, private sector participation, and transaction advisory services. Anupam has a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from the G B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Management Development Institute in India.
