International Finance Corporation

PPIAF and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) share a common purpose of helping governments in developing countries improve their infrastructure and increase investments for improved service provision with the private sector. Recognizing this similarity of objectives, IFC-C3P and PPIAF have been working very closely, taking advantage of the way that their interventions complement each other in providing support to client countries: PPIAF provides upstream support for a sound enabling environment for private sector participation in infrastructure projects, and IFC acts downstream as lead advisers to government structuring and tendering the transactions. The IFC also participates as equity investor or lender in the PPP transactions.
