Global : Partnerships for large-scale urban development

The objective of the activity is to investigate innovative arrangements to mobilize the private sector for large-scale urban development, including the regeneration of major areas in existing cities and the development of new cities.

The endeavor will provide a thorough inventory of urban development projects in developing countries, characterize the mechanisms used for private sector mobilization and land value capture, and assess their impact on urban performance. It also seeks to understand how these arrangements work and when they should or should not be used. The activity further aims to engage with operational teams and urban practitioners on relevant convening initiatives and investment projects.
